Selena Gomez has a worldwide name as an actor and singer. Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the largest projects that she has been a part of and has achieved the most success, is her project. Selena Marie Gomez has a full name. The full title is Selena Marie. The parents of Selena are Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez. The mother of Selena was only 16 at the time Selena came into the world. As a 9-year-old Selena was able to make her first role on the stage when she played Gianna on Barney and her Friends. Through this she became one of the thousands of children who have enjoyed the chance to get involved with the anthromorphic dinosaur which has grown to become popular in the past. Selena was a part of several episodes of season 7 and 8 from 2001 and 2003. As a fun fact: Selena isn't the only singer who worked on Barney as well as his Friends at this time; Demi Lovato also was part of the team that starred in the show. Following the end of the show, Selena Gomez auditioned for several roles on other shows and movies, but she was not very successful. After leaving the series, Selena auditioned for roles in various other film and television shows, but was not very successful. She also was given the character of Emily Grace Garcia in the 2005 Brain Zapped program for which she composed a song.
